I once went to a science camp and made ice cream with liquid nitrogen. It tastes great and is way more efficient than those crappy ice cream makers.

Liquid Nitrogen actually only costs about as much as most soft drinks to buy in small amounts. If you buy it at an industry scale, you can get it for a few cents a litre

When I looked at it a few years ago it was 25cents a gallon. Mostly because they have too much of it as a by-product of making liquid oxygen.
