Heh. It’s a common trope. Remember the young woman who returned from University talking about her girlfriend, “Butch” who gave her an STD and how she wants to drop out and find herself… then points out that this is just a story to put into context the fact that she got a B- in History.

At school if I got a B- my parents would have been overjoyed as it would have been far higher than what I usually got.

We have a joke whenever our girls bring home their report cards; my husband would look disappointed and ask, “Where’s the yardstick?” (for a beating). Both girls always brought home A’s and B’s, so they knew it was a joke (well…not the FIRST time, but after that). We still do it; like, last week our older daughter showed us her first semester grades for college: 2 A’s, a B+ & a B-. (Side note: we have NEVER used any “tool” to discipline the girls.)

I hated school. My brother found my 8th grade report card in my parent’s house attic when he was cleaning out after my father died. We were graded quarterly. Really hated that. I had 13 F’s by the way, LOL!! Somehow I did well over the years.

It can’t be that bad, she didn’t use his middle name. And everyone knows it is only serious when Mom uses your full name.

I’d celebrate with a bottle of single malt

Based on the past comics Peter is normally has a high B average. Paige is the bad student. Jason is the A+ . I am thinking He did what I did the 2nd term of one semester. I dropped half a grade across the board mind you everything was a B – or higher. It did not help the first term grades were listed next to them. My mom was pissed. Then I had to said " So I got a B+ average versus a A-. "

Maybe not the match, though.

First time Jason hasn’t appeared since October 3. In that time, Paige has appeared twice and Peter four times, including one appearance in a Christmas strip that was pretty much just a cameo for them both.

If you’re wondering why we never see Denise, Steve, or Nicole anymore, it’s because the strip is pretty much about Jason at this point, with occasional digressions like this.

When I was a professor, I usually gave failing students Ds, so they couldn’t say that they had dropped after the deadline or whatever.
