Frank and Ernest by Thaves for February 19, 2017
Transcript:
Frank: I'm amazed that doesn't happen more often. People behind the wheel are constantly talking on their phones....they're texting and fiddling with the music.....and other people in the care are distracting them. Ernie: I think there'll be driverless cars before too long. Frank: I disagree with you, Ernie. There's already lots of cars on the road with nobody driving! Person: I'll have to call you back.

Got to agree with Frank. See way too much of it. Whoever got hit first, both drivers were lucky. Many drivers are not.

It should be a felony to text while driving.

F & E must live in central Florida. Not only do people text and drive, they drive far over the speed limit. Gives a whole new meaning to the term “defensive driving.”

The way you have to drive is to assume that everyone else on the road is an idiot…

Driverless cars should also solve much of the problem of old drivers who are overly cautious. Driving 10 or 15 mph below a speed limit of 45 just because the road is wet or it’s dark, braking on straightaways, stopping on a busy road before making a turn, inability to park, etc.And we may be able to send the car to pick up orders that were placed with stores online.

The problem with drivers today is we’re just not aggressive when we get behind the wheel. Ok, I am, but no one else is. (My odd sense of humor coming through again).

On Christmas eve I made that comment after my dad was B.&M. about how he wouldn’t trust driverless cars. I said “There’s already lots of driverless cars out there” and he paused a solid 30 seconds.
