A flea and a fly in a flueWhile in prison cried, “What shall we do?”“Let us fly,” said the flea“Let us flee”, said the flySo they flew through the flaw in the flue.
Is anybody here old enough to remember . . .diagramming?!? And then there’s Latin grammar. . .
I like this old one:
Teacher at the door: “Johnny, is your mother home?”
Johnny: “She ain’t here.”
Teacher (surprised): “Johnny, where’s your grammar?!”
Johnny: “She ain’t here neither!”
Often it’s a Flat
And flu is not flue, flew, flaw, flow, or floe. But it can be a pain.
This is dumb. It’s a “flown”.
It’s time to relax your tense muscles.
It’s a flown.
And if you remove the wings, it’s a walk
Frank Sinatra had a record many years ago, “There’s a flaw in my flue.” Not a very good song, though.
Maybe it is just dead.
So.. is there a name for a deceased fly? Besides the obvious.. a dead fly
What about yesterday’s gnus?
A dead walking stick is now just a stick.
