When you do get into the site, you are often given a price choice for the item you want — Good, Better, or Best — that slyly refers to quality of manufacture. “Good” almost always means “Made in China,” and soon breaks.

Well first it suggested using a bicycle, but you didn’t listen.

Tedious, often poorly presented, and basically useless. Just another bar to getting done what one wants to do

Then you have to check the boxes with stairs.

What is the “I’m not a robot” thing about?

That is captcha for you. They say “click all the bicycles”. One bicycle covers 16 squares and you need to wait 5 seconds between clicks, click randomly. Once that is done, you need to do the same thing all over again, for three more pages …and the captcha times out in 2 minutes. By then you say “screw it” and go on to another website.

Try clicking on all the boxes with pretty girl robots…!

And some of them just aren’t fair. I recently saw a very pixelated set, where you were supposed to click on buses. There was one picture, even when I got right up to the screen, that I couldn’t tell what the heck it was. It was a bus. At least I lucked out and, instead of popping up a brand new screen, it gave some message in red, and stayed on the same set. So I clicked on that one that was just a big, sort of rectangular blob, and I passed…

Captchas are blatantly discriminating against robots. Something must be done about this.

That this COMIC site would have me fill in a STUPID “match the items” TEST is RIDICULOUS!!

Erniebot’s AI doesn’t seem to be up to the challenge of understanding that the test to prove you’re not a robot is aimed at humans. He needs to ditch the keyboard and mouse. Then he can plug himself into the computer (as R2D2 would) and place his order directly without any further complications.

Those robot puzzles get so annoying.
