Caulfield: Mr. Uhrmann! What's the lesson plan? Mr. Uhrmann: Mrs. Olsen didn't leave me one. Caulfield: Summer reading list? Mr. Uhrmann: Mrs. Olsen didn't leave me one. Caulfield: Stupid busy-work assignment? Mr. Uhrmann: Mrs. Olsen didn't leave me one. Caulfield: Chance of goofing off? Mr. Uhrmann: i'm not leaving you one.
As a kid, the real teachers were the capable ones, the ones who could deal with Caulfield, or at least not get flustered. The subs were the ones you could mess with. Now I work in a school, and it’s the same.
