Oh, good grief. There WAS a priest names Valentine and he DID perform secret marriages. She did say there are other versions…now who’s the pedant?

Here’s a question: how did she distinguish between “Valentines” and “Valentine’s” while speaking? I must have been absent that day…

I get the gag, but as far as I’m concerned, she’s not being pedantic here. Just teaching.

I recently switched over to Valentime’s, and now I’m even more happy I did.

Huh. I guess mansplaining has been around a long time. It was just called another name until people devoted a special category of it to one particular gender. If I’m wrong about this, feel free to set me straight. If you can do so without irony, now, that will impress me.

Am I the only one who had to look up the meaning of “pedant?”
