Just pretend it’s a very realistic Vivaldi concert. On shuffle.

I’d hate to be skiing in the snow and then run over the first robin.

When she’s older neither July nor October will be like anything she remembers them to be. Climate change will see to that.

We elders remember things from times before

Our children look at our photos and say ’What’s that for?’

The concept of flipping seasons during the week is supported by people who need to run the spectrum of dress within a 20 degree range … three layers, hat & gloves with 60 degrees & overcast. Then, shorts, T, and flip-flops when 80 & sunny.

Weather forecasters punctuate this with confusing “average” with “normal”. “Yesterday was two degrees below NORMAL for that date. This cool spell should continue for another day.”

Fact, that date probably had a ten+ degree range over the last ten years. This from someone in Michigan?

Going through all four seasons on a daily basis, isn’t that called menopause?

I lived in Calgary most of my life. You actually can go through all four seasons in one day there on rare occasions.

Kind of refreshing to run across a reference to “cycled thru” in this strip that doesn’t refer to bicycles.

Never quite ran into a bird but came close once or twice due to the lazy crows that SIT THERE on the street until you’re almost on top of them and then flap away at the last minute (probably blowing a Bronx cheer).

Just yesterday, I was talking to a neighbor who was finding it remarkable that, according to the forecast he’d seen, Halloween was going to be cold and miserable and maybe even snowy. While I was busy finding it remarkable that we were having that conversation while we were each mowing the lawn in mid- to late October. And of course the truly remarkable thing was that either of us found either thing remarkable at all.

Meanwhile, I’m allowing myself to be just a little bit proud of my ability to render static-filled hat hair.

Mrs Olsen is good value for money. At least the jokes that she’s the butt of are generally good-natured.
