Greatest ear worm ever, It’s a Small World. Or maybe worst.

Right now I’ve got Mozart’s 40th symphony playing in my head.

And, unfortunately, it was chosen as an entertainment for an official visit to D.C. by Queen Elizabeth and her consort. Of all the great music then flooding the US, that was the ‘best choice’ to demonstrate American musical talent? I repeat UGH!!

It’s often more the artist than the songwriter that makes a song catchy. For example, Muskrat Love was mentioned above but I doubt that anyone ever got the original version by Willis Alan Ramsey stuck in their head.

If the kid is ten, anything by John Lennon or George Harrison is a song written by a guy who’s dead before the kid was born. More’s the pity.
