I think what says more about Caulfield is that he seems to be hanging around school during vacation.

Since most people are getting Friday off – making it a three day weekend instead of a lone day in the middle of the week – then it would definitely be synergistic.

That word starts with “ASS” though…

It also means that New Year’s Day also falls on a Saturday, which means (for many schools) going right back to classes on Monday January 3rd.

S-o-o-o-o-o-o, when Dec 25 lands on a Sunday, would that make it super-syner. . . oh never mind.

You’re ALWAYS being judged! Get used to it!

Wow, two chances out of seven. Of course, when you’ve been eight for a couple decades it might be the first time it’s happened … again.

Caulfield’s question may have been more relevant when weekends were weekends. But for more and more people in the service industry and retail weekend shmeekend. Not judging… just saying.

Then there are places (like where my wife works) where not only is Friday off because the holiday is Saturday, they also get Thursday off because Friday Christmas Eve is being superseded by the Friday off for Christmas.

So Happy Christmas Eve Eve everybody!

Over the years, I’ve gotten used to losing track of the day of the week by late December. Between weekends and multiple days off because of holidays, remembering whether it’s Wednesday or Thursday gets challenging. But this December the holidays all fall on weekends. I’m idly curious to see if I’ll be able to keep track of what day of the week it is.

If a holiday falls on Sunday we get Monday off, & if it falls on Saturday we get a “floating holiday.”

Any time someone says, “I’m not judging.” they are judging.

It certainly says something about this strip.

It’s not so much the question, as the added condition!

Perhaps Frazz might be thinking Caulfield is displaying a fine vocabulary but with little depth of understanding?

His assessment doesn’t seem to include understanding how calendars work.
