I’d describe this as breaking the fifth wall! (the wall between strips). Or maybe it’s more complicated because we’re reading it online: maybe it’s falling between dimensions or something.

I lived in California years ago with five other guys. We had chopsticks and soup spoons.

When packing for a backpacking rip, I’d only take a light-weight spoon. I already had a knife on my belt, and when you’re carrying everything on your back, you tend away from duplication.

What’s that you ask? A fork? Why of course, two of them – right at the ends of my arms.
