In the UK date format today is 11/12/21, we celebrated 12/11/21 nearly a month ago!

Fred and his family are quintessentially English, so it is totally absurd to use the American system. This should have been posted last month.

A tale of two Freds ;-)

The Date is a palindrome and this strip was first published on the 12 of November 2021 (21) which in the UK Europe and places other than America would have the date as 12/11/21. The next palindrome date is the 22 of February 2022 or 22/02/22. It is a date made nearly of all 2s and is on a Tuesday (or two’s day!).

No mate, today is December 11th, what you have there is November 12th.

Confusing I know, but I will write 11 December 2021, but abbreviate as 12/11/2021 (I don’t like to use the 12/11/21 format, since back in 2020 that could lead to problems). When I was in college I had several professors that always used a Roman numeral for the month, regardless of where in the abbreviation it was placed.
