An uncle and I were building a cinder block wall and every lunch break he gave a blackbird a piece of bread soaked with beer. The bird promptly showed up every day at noon for the rest of the project.

Bread crumbs are cheaper.

What are the birds sitting/perched on? Are they stool pigeons?

She was fattens you up all this while to gets you in there. It’s a trap!

Ha. Made me think of Ziggy Sabotka from The Wire. Excellent series BTW. Slow to take off, but gritty and realistic.

Cheap (cheep?) dates, for sure, it can’t take more than a drop to give a little bird a buzz.

They don’t serve Mynas in that bar.
