I’m having trouble reading the name behind the quote. Contrast isn’t enough.

    I can’t argue with heavy-duty pop-philosophy at 2:15 AM. But I don’t feel ugly; I feel pretty, and witty,,,,

“My World and Welcome to It” is wonderfully psychedelic. As for those Ukrainians, it’s really cute that they think TV producers from Hollywood, the UK, and Japan would notice them long enough to want to perform experiments on their children.

Thurber once wrote about his grandmother that if she saw a bulb socket in the house that was empty that she’d insist that a bulb be placed in it before the electricity spilled out into the house. (the Thurber Carnival by James Thurber). My World and Welcome To It celebrated the writing of James Thurber.

Nothing in this world is unalloyed. This perceptive quotation makes me dwell once again on questions in the realm of aesthetics: would rare single malt Scotches be as admired without the vast population of pedestrian, mass-produced blended whiskies out there? Would Shakespeare be as revered if “Love Boat” and “Gilligan’s Island” hadn’t existed?

♥TERESA CALLS OUT LARRY: A BLOG LIKE WHAT, LARRY?!?Like anything, really. It was a comment on the graph they “helpfully” supplied which included the possibility of indexing a negative number of times/pages. Impossible.

The Point Of Sale Display in the blog reminds me of an incident in Dorothy L. Sayers’ “Murder Must Advertise”. An innocent headline and an innocent illustration were separately approved by the client, but when put together…wow!
