If it’s a merde stick it’s already served it’s most useful purpose.

Before you sharpen one end of a stick, make sure you have the whole stick.

The simplest tool (weapon) you can make is a punji stick. Just sharpen the stick, and it’s even more effective if you leave the “dirty” on it.

I always like to keep my stick honed. You never know, after all, when somebody needs a good sharp poke.

If a kid hits a kid with a stick, you take the stick away from him, you don’t arm all the kids with sticks.

The adult should not need to hold a big branch to keep an eye on the kids.

Some chimpanzees and birds use stick tools. We’re in trouble when they figure out how to sharpen their sticks.

Only one of the illustrated tools is endorsed by “Teresa,” the intrepid leader of the froggish masses!

The thundering grew louder: Brek ek coax! Coax! Coax!

I think they were seeking to break it with axes; but I was never good at languages, nor ever even a Boy Scout. But I do sometimes play with knives….
