The BINGO police, who we all know are present at every game, gave the crowd a thrill when they swarmed the hall and arrested the maniac. Everyone was buzzing as this doesn’t happen just anywhere.
7min | Animation , Family | Episode aired 12 January 2015
Ella and the twins are running through Sunshine Gardens, pulling Henry along in Ella’s trailer, when they pass Mr Jackson pushing his wheelbarrow. It soon turns into a race with Mr “Speedy” Jackson. But, Mr Jackson falls over and sprains his ankle. How will he get all his gardening work done now? The children give him a helping hand and Mr Jackson gets everything done and has the ride of life.
Little Dot (real name Dorothy Polka) was a “one-note character” with a reliance on formulaic gags and repetitious images (i.e. Dot’s dots). Her stories also involved a considerable amount of slapstick humor and domestic comedy. The character’s signature theme only became apparent in 1953, after she was redesigned to conform to the company’s emerging house style. Consequently, as Dot became a virtual clone of Famous Studios’ Little Audrey (which Harvey was licensing at the time), the ‘Dotty’ aspect was emphasized so that the two characters wouldn’t appear too similar.
Dot’s obsessive nature presaged the development of Harvey’s quirky child-friendly characters, many of which deviated from the Audrey model by incorporating fantasy elements (Hot Stuff, Spooky), or oddball behavior (Little Lotta). On the other hand, generation-based humor always played an important role in Little Dot’s storylines. Like her in-house contemporaries, Dot frequently found herself at odds with parents, teachers and other representatives of Bonnie Dell’s adult population. Frequent plotlines involved her parents or teachers, who are annoyed with her obsession with dots, trying to trick her into giving up her dot addiction and catching it themselves.
It must have been a very small wheelbarrow. Did the Bingo Caller (“Bingo! Bingo! Where are you, Bingo, my beamish lad?”) wheel his wheelbarrow through the streets, broad and narrow? Most good callers would, you know.
Personally, I find these Anti-Bingo Terrorists to be rather obnoxious and might try some obliterating myself.

Lead with the left, then round house a polka dot swing at the bingo wheel barrel holding the unused number letter balls with the right.

It’s hard to tell a bull’s eye from a single polka dot.
