The aliens already have Funky Winkerbean, Rex Morgan and Judge Parker. The good news is, if you’re dumb enough to take those strips, earth is safe from you.
Unfortunately, the aliens have come and gone already. They live on a giant ship, but never figured out a faster than light mechanism. They abandoned their planet many, many thousands of years ago, as all civilized people do. They were only here for a short time, to study, catalog, take samples, and maybe interfere just a tiny bit. All in all, their contact resulted in no changes at all, aside from acceleration or attenuation of some aspects of human development. They have found that people are people, wherever you find them, and whatever they look like, and nothing you can say or do will change them to any great extent. They have no “prime directive”.
I wonder about that top secret area where there, supposedly, is an alien and a saucer ship…. was the ship filled with other beings? If so, did they escape and adapt to our forms and insert themselves into our society?
What about all the eye witnesses who have come forward to clam they were abducted, probed and let go?
What about all the videos, and pictures pilots have witnessed while in the air?
Yet no one wants to admit….we DO have alien visitors, because people will think they’re nuts!

…but not if they are illegal aliens…
…or outsoursed to N. Korea…
…and they have to make the landing to score…
…Nancy…
…Mark Trail…
…Popeye…
…comics are surviving…
…but I wouldn’t say thriving…
…and Judge Parker and Gil Thorp with their marriage issues…
…and Hi & Lois back issues…
…luckily, Frog Applause is 69% alien approved…
…(but the 69% aliens seldom read it because their wi-fi is too slow)…
…

…according to Star Trek the Voth lived on Earth before we did…
…so…
…if they returned from their diaspora…
…would they be considered aliens?…
…or, us, squatters?….
…just asking for a friend that likes comics…

Comics are doing just fine. It’s politics that needs to get taken over.

You mean that hasn’t happened already?

Frida assumes a prominent role for comics in the future of human occupation of this planet. I have to say I agree.
Wait, so I just remembered “Men in Black” started life as a comic. And my mind did a pretzel-fold.

I’m all for space aliens, but I’m not sure human culture could survive such a dramatic change in the comics. Oh, wait. I get it.

Spoiler Alert: I’m already here. Survival is unclear, thus far.

1. What you mean “us,” Frida?!
2. Comics, first? Never! “Women and children first,” silly Aliens!
Comics are merely a palliative, not a cure….
