Pres. Bush I proclaimed, “I’m the president of the United States, and if I don’t want to eat broccoli, I don’t have to!” I wonder how he felt about Brussels’ Sprouts.

I’m with Kate! I can’t stand smelling them cook and eating them. Play Pickleball with the Fur-babies is more fun.

Brussel Sprouts are good when shaved and cooked with lots of bacon.

Pickleball is popular here. I’ve never tried it, but I’ve heard it’s basically what happened when tennis and a cocktail party had a baby. Do you play?

Seems to be a theme on Brussels sprouts today. Day By Dave has them as a topic also. That said, I like Brussels sprouts, but I guess I’m a bit strange because I also like broccoli.

Do they play Pickleball in the comic strip “Pickles?” I’ll go there and ask…

Fun fact: modern Brussels sprouts are not the same as the ones you may have eaten in the 80’s and before. A new variety was engineered (through selective cross-breeding) in the 90’s to produce a less-bitter variety. Which is what everybody buys today.

In The Bold and The Beautiful, Eric used playing Pickleball as a reason to get out of the house and , er, ah, ……. play with Donna.

I think I’d rather serve Brussels sprouts that way, instead of bringing them to the table.

IMHO, most brussels sprouts make far better pickle balls than vegetables!

I Love the taste of brussels sprouts. I’d be the one stacking my plate with them while everyone else went for boring old beans, peas, corn etc. However I never liked full grown cabbage.Sadly, as a celiac all of the cabbage family is darn near lethal for me. Which explains why as a kid I could empty the room shortly after enjoying all the B sprouts!
