I always figured if Santa was going to go on vacation… or have a Summer Home… it wouldn’t be at either of the Poles. It also wouldn’t be on the Equator. It would be too extreme for his system to take in. So… somewhere in the middle! How about the 45th Parallel ?!?
At this point, I am reminded of Steve Greenberg’s classic 1969 single, Big Bruce (and take up any indignation with Greenberg; I’m just the messenger…..).
The elves’ version of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, Brucie does not know his geography at all. He is at the North Pole, not the South Pole. #idiot :]

Brucie may be a Christmas Elf, but here in Wisconsin we know Bruce the Spruce as a talking Christmas tree.

And that, kids, is our geography lesson for today. But where’re you going to find a red beaked penguin to light the frosty nights??

So basically what Brucie said about the South Pole being cold would be Jon in a nutshell, if Jon was an elf instead of a human.
