I bet Odie likes books about bones
How’s that book taste, Odie?
What does he use for the slippers? Mustard?
He should stick with paper backs. Don’t want him to chip a tooth.
My dog ate my homework.
Leather-bound off course…….
If only Jon had a kid because then the kid would be telling the truth about the dog eating his homework especially if Odie ate all the textbooks.
I really gotta start reading Dune
Low calories, and high in fiber.
I caught my dog eating the dictionary. I took the words right out of his mouth.
buy ’em books, send ’em to school, and all they do is chew on the covers and eat the pages.
I wish I had Odie by my side when I was younger. I needed someone to properly deal with homework after I came back from school.
It’s a cookbook!!!!
I love how the ketchup was drawn, simple colour pallet but looks delish
Presumably he’s snacking on Jon’s self “help” books
This is one reason why my doggie is kept from the library or study. She’s also granted only limited visits to the shop.
The ’ol “my dog ate my homework” excuse…
The only missing are two slices of bread to make a nice “bookwich”
Interesting how Jim sometimes writes Ketchup and sometimes Catsup. I love the latter for this strip.
Bet it is a cook book. :9
What?
Every book was somebody’s homework.
(senses a Garfield version of “Ripley’s Believe It or Not!” in this cartoon)
Another advantage of ebooks…
What? Garfield actually pronounced it as “Ketchup”? Usually, he pronounces it as “Catsup”.
A good book can provide something to chew on for everyone.
I hope it isn’t the gravy book? www.gocomics.coM/garfield/2024/05/24
No, thank you.
He acquired a taste for paper from when Jon was feeding him his homework.
LOL
can we talk about the fact that, according to Garfield and Odie’s real life size (5ft, 10.5 in), the book is about 3ft tall!! what kind of book is that big, this HISTORY OF THE WORLD!??!?!
He consumes knowledge like no other.
Bad Dog? :P
Maybe Garfield you should eat a book
Uh……….
And by good, tasty
I’ve been reading the Lord of the Rings… for about the past three months.
