I know how this story goes.

The squirrels torment Odie until one of the squirrels steps on the rake, knocking him out. Odie, filled with compassion, takes the squirrel inside and cares for him until he recovers, even extending his paw in an effort to make peace. They agree and Odie becomes friends with the squirrels, eventually stuffing Garfield’s top half into a tree.

Why don’t dogs pick on something their own size? I guess we all know the answer to that.

Last two dogs we had, both chihuahuas, had absolutely no interest in squirrels. They got along well with them.

A squirrel that can pick up and attack with a rake is certainly something to be feared.

You go, squirrel!! I’m on your side. Get some revenge.

I live by a very large park. People think it’s fun to sic their dogs on the squirrels. I’ve seen so many mauled and dying squirrels, suffering horribly. It’s really sad.

    People are sick.

Actually, in places like the northeastern sections of the Russian Far East, the squirrels can be utterly vicious during their winter, when temperatures can range between -30F and -90F. There is almost no food during this period, and there are documented cases of squirrels devouring people’s hunting dogs in desperation of finding anything to eat (EDITED AND REPOSTED TO CORRECT A MISTAKE)

Ever notice how there are never screens on the windows in the comics, on TV or in movies? In real life, almost every window in the US has a screen.
