Okay then, call child services so that Bear can go ahead and adopt the kid. He can raise him as his own cub, even if there’s no basket or backseat involved in this story, which continues Gasoline Alley’s tradition of promoting adoption.

Even if this won’t be a traditional adoption.

Jones can grow up, raised by bears… and become “King of the Forest”, battling to protect the animals habitat against evil developers, polluters, and careless campers who don’t know how to build a safe fire.

Sorry, but I call shenanigans. Those clothes can’t be her son’s hand-me-downs because the shirt doesn’t have the word “Boog” on it.

Dialogue from original Rover story 1972

NINA: “The state will find a good home for Rover. Now is the time. Before you get too attatched to him”.

CLOVIA: “BEFORE I get too attatched to him? There’s a hot one!”

People need to understand they are not the ultimate purpose of evolution. The dinosaurs dominated the earth for what, 165 million years, enabling the ascent of mammals. Dinos were the victims of non-man-made climate change. Perspective: a tunafish is more closely related to humans than to sharks. Now humans seem bent on destroying their own habitat. Nature is okay with that, as another species will survive and eventually thrive to reinhabit the resources available. Humans blew it.
