Satchel Pooch: Hello, Bucky. Or are you Bucky? Bucky Katt: What are you blithering about? Satchel Pooch: Haha! I've been talking to Rob about deep stuff. Like, do we have souls? And how we can't prove that anything outside of ourselves actually exists. Bucky Katt: We both exist. Satchel Pooch: How do you know that? What about I think, therefore I am? Bucky Katt: Exactly. You think, therefore I am... constantly annoyed. Yet your existence is that irritating little piece of grit that inspires the pearl that is Bucky. Satchel Pooch: That's the most self-centered thing I ever heard. Bucky Katt: I resent that. Satchel Pooch: Of course you do, you're a cat, there's a reason "meow" starts with "me." Bucky Katt: Wanna see what the "ow" is for? Just keep talkin'. Satchel Pooch: So tell me: Do cats have souls? Bucky Katt: That's harder to answer. Depends how long their fishing line is.

All my kitties have had souls; as perfect or imperfect as any human “souls”, and are superior to many who claim to have one.Bucky, being a cartoon cat, is a different matter.He has Chutzpah.

Good to to see Bucky’s teddy bear, Smacky. We never did learn Satchel’s teddy bears name. (Bucky was wearing Satchel’s teddy bear’s hoddie to cover up the buzz cut the ferrets gave him.)

“Meow starts with me”. The ancient Egyptians went one better; their word for “cat” is “miaow”. (The Chinese word for cat is 猫, pronounced “mao”, which suggest that more than one culture “got it”.)

I don’t think a cartoon character can use “I think therefore I am” as an argument for its own existence.
