Satchel, Russ is short for Russell.

See. I told you there was going to be an enemy/anemone pun. I know this sequence by heart. My favourite bit is when Bucky will be, for once, very clever and come up with a brilliant new name for Russell.

I don’t remember the salt-water tank being mentioned after this sequence. I hope Russell didn’t die.

They sure went a long way for that joke. Too bad he didn’t take a long walk on a short pier. But Walt would have been proud. I miss his Pogo.

I love Pogo and appreciate the reference to his great anti-pollution collection of strips that took the title of We Have Met the Enemy and He is Us.

What I only recently discovered is that Walt Kelly was in his turn paraphrasing the victory message of Oliver Hazard Perry the War of 1812 naval commander who after defeating the British on Lake Erie wrote to General Harrison “We have met the enemy and they are ours.”

Did this whole week, just to set up for that line.

If anyone isn’t from Earth, it’s Bucky.

The next thing you know, Bucky’s going to want to Russel up some grub.
