Bucky, on the other hand, looks a little like the Infinite Sadness.
Ev’ry time I go to town, the boys keep kickin’ my dog around…
Poor Satch, nobody wants to hear his problems, but at least Bucky is a distraction.
“She was a melancholy baby — she had a head like a melon and a face like a collie.”
Is a melon collie baby a sad puppy…?
Pinkish try spelling the word out for Bucky the next time ;-)
Not the sharpest arrow in the quiver, Satch!
The question is, where to start.. but I got a “WATER MALONE” to make me smart!!!
“Texas sure is hard on dogs and women!” (Chester from Gunsmoke)
I think Satch looks more guilty than melon collie.
Melancholy, a term from the days we could not bring oursleves to say depression. Bucky on the other hand suffers from diarrhea of the mouth
I got a good laugh here today!!
“Come to me my melon colored baby”.
Some breeds are highly specialized for herding, such as Honeydewdles.
Satch is actually a Lab, but I guess ’lab’ored jokes would be too hard.
Of course that droopy, self pity look in the first panel often means that Satchel brings it upon himself.
Tried to use “melan-collie” in a poem once but it was just sad.
First panel reminds me of the look our old dog would give me when he wanted to come in. Never could resist that look.
Didn’t the melon collie suffer the infinite sadness while smashing pumpkins?
