I imagine the old tales of Time Travel. With the strange Butterfly Effect. That if you make even the smallest change… it will expound into a tsunami of trouble back in your normal timeline. But then there is the Paradox Effect. That the small change is put into the calculation of no effect to you being able to travel in time!
So… a small effect like accidentally crushing a snail… will help that bird who has been closely watching the group so they could be fed! Sort of like going into a parking lot and finding a flock of little birds picking off bugs off your front bumper. Nature is resilient.
