Gabby says, "Grandma, we're going to walk to the store." Grandma says, "You're not old enough." Gabby says, "We're both eight years old. Together, that makes us sixteen, which makes us more than old enough." Grandma says, "Okay, but at sixteen, you're also old enough to mow the lawn, do laundry and clean the bathroom." Michael says, "When will our combined age make us old enough to outsmart her?" Gabby says, "Oh, be quiet."
If that were me, I’d be surprised if I could get there in the first place! :-)
