It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas When... ...You receive Christmas cards. Grandma: I liked it better when Christmas greetings were sent by card, not via social media. Gabby: On the bright side, the Johnson' annual Christmas letter can only be 140 characters long!
I gave up on sending cards this year. I hate email cards with a passion. Can’t hang them up for display, & it tells the recipient that they did not care to actually take the time to purchase, write out a personal note or enclose a newsletter, address & mail the cards. That is what made the cards special. No, a choice of a few generic cards that millions upon millions of people will be using. All of the graphics in the world can’t compete with a real card. It is the thought of the time & effort it took someone to remember that you are fondly thinking of them at this special time of the year. What is Hallmark’s saying? When you care to send the very best of heartfelt greetings? That is the difference in social media “cards” or hardcopy cards.
