I still haven’t forgiven Sears for their commercial jingle from the mid-1960’s: “First to Sears, then to school!” I usually liked school as a kid, it was the “Back to School” part that was so distressing.
Several years ago, there was a Staples commercial that featured a Dad, happily pushing a cart through the store, grabbing school supplies. His two kiddos were just standing there, with huge, god-awful scowls on their faces. The song that was playing: ’It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year’….. :D :D
