Marie Kondo doesn’t give advice for real life – my medicine cabinet is full of things that don’t spark any joy in me, but I need to take my medicine anyway. I just found a stack of pillowcases that I inherited from my mom and brother, they don’t particularly strike anything more than “that’s OK”, but I won’t be spending any more money on pillowcases for the next lifetime… does that count as ‘sparking joy’?
Marie Kondo must be wealthy, and talking to people with more money than sense.
It’s bizarre. I never heard of this Marie Kondo woman until the last couple of weeks. She and her method have been mentioned in at least a dozen different comic strips. It’s almost like it’s “Marie Kondo Week”.

It’s past time for Grandma to pull the plug on this directive.
