    I’m with Kate. Can’t even remember how many hours I spent in the libraries I used in my town, One was the local and the other was the main one downtown. Plus all the National Geographics I bought at the used book store.

    I loved spending as much time at the library as possible. So many cool books. My local library is 3 blocks from my house! If they don’t have what I want, they’ll order it from another library. I only go two or three times a week….

    I had a set of encyclopedias at home. Sometimes in the summer, I’d pull one out and start reading at random.

    We lived in a rural area, miles from a library. But we had the “A” volume of the World Book Encyclopedia (probably an inexpensive trial volume). So most of my reports were “A” based: Australia, Aardvarks, etc.
