My parents always said we could do whatever we pleased when we were an adult. What a lie. As kids we had to obey parents and teachers mostly. But as an adult you have to obey a boss, sometimes coworkers who may be over you, the law, the government, the police… just about everywhere you go there is some rule you have to follow. Oh, no, you can’t do whatever you please as an adult!

No need, she’ll figure it out on her own. We all did.
