That’s how my brilliant daughter handles it. Her little toddler starts to whine because there aren’t more pretzels and she says that they’re grocery shopping tomorrow and she can pick out her favorite pretzels then. Satisfied her.
Never had a store-bought costume. Money was kind thin to be spent on a costume worn once & grown out of by the following Halloween. I rummaged around the house & made my own costume. Never bothered me, gave me no adult complexes about my parents not buying me a costume, I was just happy to go out with my gal pals & get CAAANNNDDDYYY!!!
