Mrs Angelini: It's Christmas Eve, and tonight we celebrate Cena Della Vigilia, or Dinner of the Vigil, as we wait for the Baby Jesus. The seven fishes represent the seven sacraments..The tentacles of the squid symbolize the different directions Christ's teachings went throughout the world. The clams and mussels remind us that Christ's life spoke to even the lowest of creatures, and the eel represents the speed with which the word of Jesus spread. Heart: And my scrambling feet illustrate the speed with which I flee from the table. Mrs Angelini: You kids! Always afraid of a little religion!
A sip of wine is a little religion. You’re trying to serve her an entire bible.
