Television Advertising Character: If you drive this big truck, you'll appear much more masculine and virile than you really are! Sure, it's really bad for you, but let's face it, fast food is so much easier than cooking for yourself! You don't have this hot, new cell phone?! Hurry and get it before you look old and stupid! Don't feel guilty about buying this S.U.V.! You're just not used to being wasteful! But it's OK! Everybody is doing it! Yes, it's expensive to take your kids to this amusement park full of blatant advertisements for character-related merchandise...but what price would you pay to be called "a good parent"? Mom: It appears the advertisers have cut to the chase. Heart: Did you catch the part about being a good parent?
Focus on what matters.
