Heart: Sheesh! All that reading and I got a "C-minus" on my book report! What was the point?! Forced to read a book when I could just as easily have watched the DVD! Dean: I guess it was supposed to expose you to the joy of reading. Heart: It's "joys" like that drive us kids right to the boob-tube.
She’s right. The joy from reading is immediately crushed by the disappointment from the grade that shows she did not conform to whatever arbitrary standard was set for what her experience should have been. Grades are kinda BS.
