Heart of the City by Steenz for August 27, 2013
Transcript:
Man: We're a troupe of players whose tradition dates back to when the British occupied Philadelphia in 1777.... Max: ...back then, the troupe would suddenly appear around town, put on shows to mock the British and bolster the people...and then disappear to avoid arrest! Heart: Oh! And they would hide here, in these basement rooms! Man: Which has always been a secret...until now!

OK, so now that your job of mocking the British has been taken over by its own tabloid press, now what do you do?
Typical Philly, hanging onto a tradition past all sense or context… ;-)

We’d send out secret messages, and we’d all meet secretly at the designated location. At the appointed time, we’d throw off our disguises, do our performance, then disappear into the assembled throng. We were known as, “The Mobbers of Flash.”

I’m a Philly Boy but had never heard of any Revolutionary flash mob. But I could have missed it among all the other traditions honoring the founding of this country.
dyankee23: Tell us where you’re from so we can mock it.

“Now that I’ve told you about it, I’ll have to kill you.”

Yeah now that he told them! If he’d just told them the machinery for like the hot water, electric, and stuff was down there and sent them on their way they’d have never known.

This is honestly a boring story line. Let’s move on, Heart. Nothing to see here.

Now that you know the secret he has to kill you.

Possible. A building burns down but its stone basement survives.

Now you know the secret… Now you must die…
