Heart: If women were running things, probably most of these wars wouldn't have happened and I would be done with m homework by now!
Not only are women more likely to abuse men then men are to abuse women, but matriarchies have been far more warlike than patriarchies. Though some historians claim this is caused by the neighbors of matriarchies feeling they can take advantage of the matriarchies.
However Catherine the Great led Russia through a couple wars and Queen Mary I of England and Queen Elizabeth I both had very bloody reigns, with Mary earning the sobriquet Bloody Mary. And Queen Victoria saw England greatly expand its empire through conquest. None of those were matriarchies but still no precedent to think that women leaders would be more peaceful than men.
