This reminds me of the time my daughter and I went to get the new Harry Potter. I wasn’t going to go to a freaking midnight sale, so we went the next afternoon only to discover that the story had already sold out!

It’s only valid for today, and they have to get through the line before they can redeem it. And the place closes before they can get there.
