I usually find dirty dishes piled up as high as the faucet, whenever I come home from the hospital. I can stock up supplies ahead of time, but can’t really stock-up the work of cleaning.

Bless his heart – when I am ill, Hubby takes care of everything. He’ll bring me a cookbook to make a shopping list, but beyond that, he does it all. (No, he doesn’t hire out, but he gives lessons.)

My mother (may she rest in peace) taught me how to do food shopping. What if my wife got ill or pregnant and can’t go shopping? That means that you have to do it!

Your comment reminded me the one time a teacher at a school I was working got upset because I would turn the light of at any classroom I found empty-———-Her argument; “ou’ll burn the switches and or the lamps in the ceiling”-———-My counter argument, “we can replace those switches and or lamps since we have stockpiles of them, What we cannot have stockpiles of is electrical energy, once used we need to generate more” waste not want not! (Not sure if the teacher had a grasp of the concept tho’
