For most of my adult life, I recalled being a rather good student. When my mom died, my sister and I went through her stuff and I found my old report cards – NOT.
Old story: 60 years ago Mom cleaned out the attic. She kept my report cards on which my grades resembled a wildly out of kilter eeg. I looked at those and just laughed. But she also tossed full boxes of #1 issues of all the top comic books of the 1930’s, -40’s and early -50’s. I cried.
My dad gave me a compass that he carried during WWII in the Pacific. It was really dented and ugly and I eventually threw it out. My dad is long gone and I still feel awful about throwing out that compass. Just thought the other day that by now I probably would not remember that thing if I had it in some drawer, but since I threw it out, my feelings of guilt keep me remembering it and my father’s purpose in giving it to me.

If they have the same name, the kid could try to pass off the report cards as his. It might be hard to explain an A in horse drawn plow.

As museum pieces, they should do well.

I was quite mediocre.

Many moons ago, I found my Dad’s report card. It toned him down considerably!

Grandparents are suppose to spoil the grandkids, not extort them.

Sounds like the kid is getting too much allowance.
