The store isn’t getting their book back.

It’s a paint and wall paper store and that was a book of patterns

Nondiscriminatory taste.

Danger: These patterns might cause flashbacks of 1960s hallucinogenic drug use!

I think I’m beginning to see a pattern here.

So long as the wall is covered, he’s indifferent to what covers it. Some folks are like that.

This was featured on House Beautiful. It was the brainchild of some insufferable designer that knows better than you.

He obviously a man with no taste and he’s totally indiscriminating.

I have seen wallpaper hung with no regard to matching the pattern. I couldn’t stay in the house for more than five minutes. Drove me nuts!

But then, I’m the sort of person who will straighten pictures in other people’s homes.

You have to live with it for awhile. Before you realize you hate it.

He’s not so much discriminating, more like frugal.

Oy!

No wallpapering, but I did paint the front door a nice deep red yesterday. Looks good!

Garish springs to mind…

Many years ago, I worked at a carpet store owned by a family friend. When they received a new sample book, they gave me the old ones. I stapled them to the walls of the basement because I spent most of my time down there. It was a different look to be sure.

That wall makes me dizzy!!!

Back in the day I remember two different places I frequented using carpet square samples to make a complete rug for a room.

Lovely.

Years ago my father-in-law tiled their floor with random sample tiles (but all the same thickness) . Then some years later they tried to sell the house and it just wouldn’t sell. My sister-in-law decided it was because of the floor snd had it carpeted. The house sold. I was helping them move when the new owner came by. We were talking and he said ‘yea- and under the carpet is a neat tile floor. I’m taking the carpet up when we move in".
