Guy tries to enter a restaurant but is told “no tie, no service,” but he doesn’t have a tie. He goes to his car and rummages around and all he comes up with are jumper cables, so he wraps them around his neck and arranges them nicely. When he returns to the restaurant, the maitre d’ looks him over and says “okay, you can come in, but don’t start nothing!”
Looks like he picked up the tie at same place Scarlett O’Hara (Carol Burnett) got her outfit. She saw it hanging in the window and just had to have it.
