Hamhock: I'm ready to settle up here. Captain Victorious: What's that? Hamhock: It's money. Captain Victorious: What kind of money is that? Hamhock: Wh-? What do you mean? Ones? Captain Victorious: What are "ones"? Hamhock: You've been wealthy for a very long time, haven't you? Captain Victorious: Wait - are these the "pennies" I've heard so much about?
Man, this one brings back memories of growing up “poor” in the eyes of all the rich kids I went to school with…
That was bad enough, but the bullying was worse. Does anyone on this site know what it’s like to be beaten up just for not being rich enough to buy an Xbox 360 or an iPod nano?
Maybe that trauma is why I decided never to wear shirts, shorts or sweaters. I hated identifying with the “tennis club” and “dinner dressing” styles they stood for.
I truly despise the trappings of wealth. I’m much better off in boots, jeans, counterculture T-shirts and jackets.
