How do you feel being biracial?
Its awesome! I can relate to almost everyone,
Just like Halle Berry, President Obama, Mariah Carey and Blake Griffin!
How di you feel about being biracial Dad?
Being privileged with many heritages and gifts, I have felt that it is the “best of both worlds” or, in my case, “best of a few worlds”…==Some people do seem to appreciate that the glass really is half full, that one who is multi-racial can be well rounded, culturally, societally, etc…. I’ve heard some, though, who assume that one would be confused… as if you’d have to choose one thing or the other… if that was the case, though… we’d ALL have to do some choosing, in one way or another… we all should be able to identify ourselves, not have another to do so…that would be the essence of true liberty….==But the focus should really be on who you are, NOT what you are… as someone mentioned yesterday, we are human……
The purpose of a commercial is to make you buy a product – not be a representation of reality. People really need to remember that. Also can’t see how she can “relate” to those rich people :)
At some point in the future, we will be considered “prejudiced” if we “notice” that the hungry lion is not the same as us. Until it eats us. Racism/Agism/Sexism has given prejudice a bad name. It is a survival trait to be aware of not fitting in in your surroundings.
The BBC showed a movie a long time ago called “The Lathe of Heaven”. I haven’t seen it since, but it really made a point on ;‘be careful what you wish for’. ….. the last thing the protagonist of the movie ‘willed as Heaven’s lathe’ was for there to be no racial/gender prejudices and that everyone would get along. He awoke to find everyone a wonderful dull shade of grey and there was no male/female genders..

Jasmine Glover seems to be a child wise beyond her years. All naysayers of the Cheerios commercial with the interracial family take note.

Actually, I’m all for mono-racial … the human race!
Although, we seem to have a few outliers that pop up once and a while.sbchamp over 11 years ago

Back in my day, it was called “hybrid vigor”, the larger the gene pool, the better.

It’s not a question unless you bring it up.
