6 × .7 is not a hard problem to solve in your head. Just move the decimal place.

    6 × 7 = 426 × .7 = 4.2

I think Joe making his hat fly up in the air is more impressive.

    I’ve got 11 fingers:

    Start with one hand, count backwards: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6.

Other hand: And 5 makes 11.

Wow so harsh about numbers skills. Look up Dyscalculia.

I always scored very high in language, reasoning ability,…everything except arithmetic and math skills.

There are many adults out there who involuntarily shut down when it comes to numbers. Some of it is choice of attention, if I apply myself to math to the exclusion of all else then I can understand it but I choose to have a wider scope of attention.

7X7 takes me a couple of beats longer than most folks, I know the answer but have to kick the instant freeze and relax first.

@thehag“7X7 takes me a couple of beats longer than most folks, I know the answer but have to kick the instant freeze and relax first.”.7×7 never bothered me but I had problems remembering 7×8 so what I would do was 7×8=7x(7+1)=7×77×1=497=56or7×8=8×7=8x(8-1)=8×8-8×1=64-8=56..Actually, I still do it that way...John von Neumann and the fly:.A mathematician posed what is known as the fly problem to John von Neumann..“Two trains, 20 miles apart, approach each other going 10 mph each. A fly travels between them at 15 mph, zig-zagging just before getting smooshed by an oncoming train. .“Question: How far does the fly fly before meeting his ultimate demise?”.von Neumann responded nearly instantly with the right answer, “15 miles.”.“Interesting,” said the mathematician. "You are obviously a physicist..“A physicist will realize the trains will take an hour to crash and that a fly flying 15 miles per hour will fly 15 miles in an hour..“Mathematicians would try to sum the infinite series.”.“What a clever way to solve the problem” von Neumann replied. “I summed the series.”

“If they are never allowed back into society, what do you think will happen to them?”.They will eventually die, sometimes after or while killing others..But that is not the only alternative..Ray has reentered society and has a job and friends. Mortimer has convinced us Ray has reformed. Joe is not yet convinced. He takes protecting his family seriously..The happiness of a known criminal is not more important than the safety of your own family. He will have to walk the “strait and narrow” a bit longer to convince Joe..It would be wise to consider the wisdom of putting a convicted con man or thief in charge of your money just because he has served his sentence..Would it be wise to encourage a convicted rapist to date your daughter, sister or mother just because he has been released from prison due to prison overcrowding?.A drug addict working in a pharmacy.Bill Cosby (or Bill Clinton) in a women’s shelterJohn Dennis Haster at the YMCADonald Trump anywhere
