I was going to ask how he was able to buy a villa because he makes the same salary as me, but then I remembered that he has his Dad fortune so that might have something to do with it.

How could Ray’s father not be dead? He died at the hospital Marcy works at, didn’t he? They would have had the local morgue remove the body. It’s not like he just disappeared and everyone simply assumed he was dead. Ray couldn’t have inherited the building he got unless there was a death certificate.
