I don’t see the need for Markus to run it by anybody. Pro athletes do this sort of thing all the time. The NFL actually encourages it. It cannot be that Markus does not want to be in a position that he must write a large donation check, can it? I know he is tight with money (running joke in the strip), but he cannot be that tone deaf. His dad, a Christian Minister, raised him to be smart with his money, not to be a miser.
Okay… I can see how doing something like this will be totally out of his comfort zone (both socially and financially). But doing this could mean some great publicity for his team, and even for football in general.
a miser (which I think we all know because of “A Christmas Carol”) is a person who accrues money, but doesn’t do anything to enjoy it, accumulating a potentially vast fortune but still living on only bare essentials. In some ways it’s worse than being greedy.

I hope Marcus at least paid for his own tattoos!
Speaking of which, what is it with pro athletes and tattoos, anyway?

Go ahead and run with it Clarence. Be his agent—-and charge him agent money!

Just tell him to do it, it will be good for his image.

Um…no. One artist did all his tattoos for free. That artist’s phone number is one of Marcus’ tats!

Be a hero to your people, Marcus!

You’d think Marcus would call his father and not one of his brothers….

I thought we established yesterday that Rochester was Marcus’ agent?

What is it with tattoos in the first place. What a waste of money
