For those confused by the reference, Cubert Farnsworth is a character in Futurama. In his first appearance, he pointed out the scientific inconsistencies and ridiculousness of the show, like how Leela (the Captain and main pilot of the Planet Express ship) having only one eye meant she had no depth perception…something a pilot would need.
