I loke the T-shirt.

That’s some T-shirt…

That’s when there were candy machines in the subways and if worked that was a New York miracle LOL.

But what did the city of New York do with King Kong?

(I just stumbled across a streaming service showing the sketch comedy show “Fridays” that was an unsubtle attempt to create a west coast, ABC network counterpart to “Saturday Night Live”. Had forgotten that they used Kliban cartoons as their bumper slides when they went to commercial, including quite a few I haven’t seen reprinted here.)

[old guy alert] Yes, there actually used to be penny gum machines inside NYC subway stations.

“Class? This particular example comes from what was referred to as Kliban’s ‘Gross Era’.”

That’s ABC gum.

14th Street and Union Square. Crossroads of the world.

Chewed gum was always something I saw more than anything else in New York.

14th Street is home to the classless, and gross crowd….

Just one of the reasons Singapore outlawed chewing gum. (You can still get it by prescription.)

Why pay a quarter when you can scrape it off the wall for free?

Maybe the laziest person in the world- even his cat on the shirt is embarrassed!
